Estimates show that by 2024 digital professions should open at least 210 thousand jobs in the information technology area in Brazil.
A startup in São Paulo offers online courses to qualify and increase candidates' chances.
Wallace Lopes is a graphic designer looking for new horizons. He realized that it was time to look for a new future and his new area of work would be “user experience design”, also known as “Ux Design”.
But to make that change, he needed more “technology” in the curriculum. Lopes enrolled in Fábio Muniz's startup to prepare.
Muniz worked in Silicon Valley. When he returned to Brazil, he had problems hiring professionals and, in 2018, he set up the business. Today it offers 12 courses in the technology area, divided into three groups: design, science and data analysis and programming.
The courses last from 4 to 6 months and cost from R$ 2,800 to R$ 4 thousand. Lopes finished his studies at the end of 2020 and achieved the dream career change. Like him, 1,100 students have already taken courses at the startup, which in March earned BRL 400,000.
The school will now focus on partnerships with companies and increase the number of courses. The objective is to prepare more young people to fill vacancies in the market.
