But the former shark captain guarantees that viewers will still be treated to a show.
Galen will face Lussick on 22nd Dec at the Star Event Center in Sydney.
Lucius Manley replaces forward Josh Alloy, whose fight with Galen was called off last month after Aloy suffered a COVID-19 Attack.
"It's frustrating but at the end of the day it's about entertainment," Gallen told foxsports.com.au.
"People want to see football players punch each other, they can't do it on the pitch anymore, so they can see us do it in the ring.

Despite the 13 cm height deficit, Galen (11-1) is not worried about the advantage of reaching his opponent's "much bigger". After an impressive career in 348 rugby league games and boxing, Galen has developed his endurance.
"All my career, everyone was bigger than me. It would come down to boxing skills and I led there," he said.
"He will look for a big shot and hopefully if he scores he won't do it very clearly, but I have no doubt we'll both get hurt.

“I’ve been playing at the top for 19 years, so I guess I have a decent pain threshold.
"It's just about competition."
Despite the delayed warning, Lucic did not hesitate to take the battle to Gallen.
"I'm probably not going to throw him out of the hole with his experience, so I have to go there and have a red-hot crack and see what happens," he said.
"People say whatever they want about him, but he's tough, he's tough in rugby league and he's tough in boxing, two of the toughest games around.
"In football (fighting) you don't get paid. You just get suspended.
"So I get a nice paycheck just before Christmas and I can do whatever I've wanted for a while."
With three fights left in his contract, Galen is not sure how long his boxing career will last.
"It's very difficult to predict what I'm going to do or in what context," he said.
"The whole thing was frustrating. I just tried my best and tried to get through the fight and enjoy Christmas, that's it.
"I just have to enjoy the fight and get paid."
