After Arsene Wenger sought the position of head of world football, FIFA has confirmed that it will use the new technology to semi-automatically detect offside.

The technology will be used during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, which will begin on November 30.

Johannes Holzmaler, FIFA's director of football technology and innovation, explained in a statement how the technology works and how it is applied in football.

"Participant tracking data extracted from the video is sent to the operating room, where the calculated offside line and certain starting points are returned to the operator in real-time," Holmes later confirmed.

"The reboot operator will be able to appear in the VAR room immediately."

Pierre Luigi Colina, the current director of FIFA Referrals, who has worked without such support for many years, has taken steps to reassure fans and officials that decisions will not be left entirely to technology.

"Technology can mark a line today, but the assessment of a game or opponent's intervention is in the hands of the referee," Colina explained in detail.

"During the inspection, decisions are made by analyzing not only the position of the players but also their participation in the game.

One criticism of this notion in the past is that it is almost impossible to pinpoint the exact points of success.

VAR-related TV cameras have not yet been able to determine exactly when the ball went off the player's feet, and there are still doubts about whether the system could automatically detect the ball out of position.

However, FIFA is confident that the new technology will be more accurate, so they are in a hurry to test it in the Arab Cup as soon as possible.
